Environmental Democracy: From Laboratory Research to Sustainable Community Engagement

Participants from the Advanced Certificate Program in Politics and Governance for Senior Executives (Class 29), organized by the King Prajadhipok’s Institute, visited the CATRE laboratory as part of their academic program. The visit focused on exploring ongoing research and exchanging perspectives with researchers in energy and environmental fields, aiming to integrate technical knowledge into the development of research projects on environmental democracy and to connect policy concepts with practical applications.

In addition, researchers from the CATRE laboratory and the King Prajadhipok’s Institute conducted a field visit to Chom Phon Subdistrict, Chom Bueng District, Ratchaburi Province, to follow up on community activities. The team shared knowledge on smokeless burning practices using appropriate technologies to help reduce PM2.5 pollution while also collecting data on sustainable agricultural practices at Rai Suk Phuang to support the development of practical, community-based solutions for long-term environmental sustainability.
